Adding a TwitterLit widget to your site
There are a number of different widgets available for adding to your site. One of them should suit your space and design needs.
1. The Google Gadget: First, I created a Google gadget that you can add to your web site or Google home page. To add the gadget to your iGoogle page, see the links in the subscription box in the sidebar. To start customizing the gadget for your own site, click the appropriate link:
US version --
UK version --
CA version.
2. The Widgetbox Blidget: The second is a "blidget" powered by Widgetbox. With just a few clicks you can add a TwitterLit blidget to your blog or MySpace page, Facebook profile, NetVibes page, or anywhere else a Widgetbox blidget will work. The blidget comes in
US,
UK, and
CA versions. Here's a working example of the US blidget. You'll be able to customize the blidget before adding it to your own site:
3. The RapidFeeds widget:
NOTE 1/3/08: The RapidFeeds widget has now added advertisements to the bottom of their non-paid versions. I haven't updated to the Pro version of the widget, so any RapidFeeds widgets will now have ads on the bottom, which make them rather less attractive than they appear below.
The third type of TwitterLit widget is powered by
RapidFeeds, and it is even more customizable. To start customizing one for your site, click on one of these links:
US version --
CA version --
UK version.
If, however, you'd like one pre-customized to match the TwitterLit color scheme, you've come to the right place. To add either the 200px-wide or 260px-wide widget to your site, select the text in the appropriate text field below and insert it into your site where you'd like the widget to appear. You'll need to make one small alteration to the script. Near the bottom you'll see
mysite_id=XXXX. Replace this with one of the following, depending on which version of the widget you'd like to display:
US version (links to Amazon.com): mysite_id=6320
CA version (links to Amazon.ca): mysite_id=6396
UK version (links to Amazon.co.uk): mysite_id=6395
